Privacy Policy

Our Principle

Your fishing data belongs to you. FishLogger is designed with privacy as a core feature, not an afterthought. We do not operate servers that store your personal data. We do not sell, share, or monetize your information.

Location Data

FishLogger accesses your location only while the app is in use to:

• Mark where you catch fish (GPS coordinates)
• Track your fishing session route
• Display your position on the map

Location data is stored on your device and in your personal iCloud account. It is never sent to our servers or any third party.

Microphone & Speech Recognition

FishLogger uses on-device speech recognition to convert your voice into text for catch logging. Audio is processed entirely on your device using Apple's Speech framework. No audio recordings are stored or transmitted.

Weather Data

FishLogger uses Apple WeatherKit to capture weather conditions (temperature, wind, conditions) at the time of each catch. Weather requests are made through Apple's servers and are subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

iCloud Sync

Your catches, sessions, and settings sync across your devices via Apple iCloud (CloudKit). This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

Subscription Management

FishLogger Pro subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store and managed by RevenueCat, our subscription infrastructure provider. RevenueCat receives:

• An anonymous device identifier
• Purchase and subscription status

RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, location, or fishing data. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

Analytics & Tracking

FishLogger does not use any analytics SDKs, crash reporting services, or advertising frameworks. We do not track your behavior in the app. We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA).

Data Storage

• On-device: All fishing data (catches, sessions, photos, routes) is stored locally on your device using Apple SwiftData.
• iCloud: If iCloud is enabled, data syncs to your personal iCloud account.
• No external servers: We do not operate servers that store your personal data.

Data Export & Deletion

You can export all your data at any time as a CSV or JSON file from Settings. You can delete individual catches or your entire history from within the app. Deleting the app removes all local data. iCloud data can be managed through iOS Settings > Apple ID > iCloud.

Children's Privacy

FishLogger does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app is rated 4+ and does not require an account.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
